Mission

To empower women and families through pregnancy diagnosis, decision support, and sexual health education by providing compassionate medical, emotional, and long-term care that specializes in hope, healing and recovery.

More about us...

A Beacon of Hope is a faith based, non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization that serves as the parent organization to our 2 clinics located in Decatur and Johns Creek.  We provide compassionate care and support to young women and men of our community who are facing the uncertainty of an unplanned pregnancy.

Frightened and confused are many of the young women and men who reluctantly come through our doors. More often than not, feeling hopeless and trapped due to their life circumstances, How will these mothers and fathers respond to a new life when they are overcome with anxiety and unable to make sense of their current situation?

With over 30,000 abortions taking place annually in the state of Georgia and over 75% of those being performed in Fulton and DeKalb County, God has invited us to become a part of building a culture of love and life for the men and women we serve, ultimately providing them with comprehensive care that empowers them to make an educated choice about their unplanned pregnancy in a safe environment. Each patient that walks in our door is given a free pregnancy test, a thorough health screening, options education, sexually transmitted infection testing, and an ultrasound (if they qualify).

Both clinics provide non-judgmental care allowing the patient to catch their breath and begin to process through their decision, understanding the support our organization is able to offer them if they choose to parent or place the child for adoption. In addition to the services listed above, we have a trained team that is ready to lovingly care for post abortive individuals within our community (1 in 3 women have had an abortion by age 45).  Our hope is to walk along side of them and to assist them in the forgiveness and healing process.

Here is what a few of our patients have had to say about the care they received at our clinics...

"Excellent, I think, is an understatement! I was given all the tools I need along with guidance and support from Cindy and my nurse!"

"The women were very kind. You can really tell that they truly care about your health. I would recommend everyone to come here."

"This is a wonderful clinic.  The staff made me feel welcomed and provided me with a lot of information. "

"I admire the fact that they were very respectful of my decisions and non-judgemental. They were very caring and nurturing."
